If you’re on the lookout for an action-packed adventure or a quiet retreat at the Southern gateway to the Tongariro National Park, our newest holiday home in Ohakune has everything you need.

For adventurers, Ohakune is among the best destinations in New Zealand for skiing, snowboarding, canoeing, sledding, mountain biking, hiking and heaps of other outdoor pursuits. All the gear you need can be hired locally (including transport), and ski storage facilities are provided. For those looking for rest and relaxation, our holiday home offers fully heated rooms, and hot tubs are available to book.

Situated just 20 minutes’ drive from the Turoa Ski Field in Tongariro National Park and 40 minutes from the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing and Whakapapa Ski Field, you’ll be right in the heart of the beautiful Manawatu. Ohakune town centre is just a two-minute stroll, and our holiday home is just three minutes’ drive from the train station.

After a long day mountain biking, hiking or skiing - book yourself into a Hot Springs Spa Pool which is available onsite.

Facilities:

4 units with fully equipped kitchens (stoves, microwaves, fridge/freezers).
3 units with tea and coffee making facilities only.

40 minutes drive to Whakapapa 20 minutes drive to Turoa 5 minutes walk to shops, bars, cafes & restaurants

Payment Policy:

Payment is required:
(a) One month before occupancy if the booking is made more than one month prior to occupancy.
(b) At least ten working days before the first day of occupancy if the booking is made less than 30 days prior to occupancy.
(c) Immediately for bookings made within ten working days prior to occupancy.

If payment is not made when due, PSA reserves the right to cancel the booking without notice to allow another member’s booking to be confirmed.

The PSA uses the Payment Express Payment Gateway for its holiday home online credit card transactions. Payment Express processes online credit card transactions securely for thousands of merchants globally, providing a safe and secure online payment service.

- The PSA does not have access to your full card number, this credit card payment is secured by Payment Express
- Payment Express have bank grade security. All transaction details are stored in their PCI-DSS compliant Data Centre

Cancellation Policy:

A cancellation fee equal to one day’s rental will apply:
(a) In the event that notice of cancellation is received less than ten working days before the first day of occupancy.
(b) If payment has not been made, the member is still liable for the cancellation fee.

If notice of cancellation is received 10 working days or more before the first day of occupancy a full refund will be made.

Additional Information:

Overcrowding of units is not permitted as per the NZ fire regulations.
Pets or livestock are not allowed on any of our properties.
All our units are smoke free.
Consideration is required for members in surrounding units.
Excessive noise is not permitted at any time.

Any members not observing these conditions will be asked to leave the property by the caretaker day or night.

Cleaning
It is your obligation as a PSA member to ensure the unit is left clean on departure.
Vacuum cleaners, mops, brooms and dustpans are provided.
