Built in 1915 this European-style apartment block is well known by Aucklanders, located across the road from of the Supreme Court and the gardens of Government House it has a colourful history. Containing only 12 "luxury" apartments when it was built it still has many of the original features such as the entry system, stain glass windows and doors, the original lift withbehind a door complete with safety grill and the wooden letterboxes carefully signwritten from an era when the live-in manageress strictly oversaw the building to ensure there were no unauthorised overnight guests!
Apartment 32
Located on the third floor this apartment still retains the charm of last century, but has been upgraded to include a fully functional kitchen together with gas hob, dishwasher and oven. The layout is quite open plan between the dining and lounge and comes with unlimited wifi and TV and there is a king bed in the bedroom which can be split into twins on request. The bathroom has a wonderful deep bath with shower over it and the laundry is located in the original porch.
Complex is smokefree. Apartment is serviced weekly including full linen change. All bookings restricted to three months prior to arrival

To enter the apartment building
Use the key provided to open the front door, then proceed up the stairs or
elevator to the third floor.
Please take care to open and close the elevator doors gently. It is the
oldest residential elevator in Auckland, so please take great care—it can
break.
To exit the apartment building
Push the button on your right, just inside the external door, to unlock and
exit.
To access the courtyard
Go to the basement level and exit through the back door. Be sure to have
your key, because you will require this to get back in.

The internet router is white and sits on the entertainment cabinet by the
TV. The connection details are on the back of the router. The internet
provider is Voyager—www.voyager.nz.
Television and internet
Turn on the TV by pushing the button under the left hand corner.
Turn on the Mac Minicomputer by clicking the keyboard or mouse. If the
computer has been fully turned off, boot it up by pushing the button on the
back right corner.
Log on to Guest User. No password is required. Do not attempt to log on to
another account.
You can access the internet and use a TVNZ site, YouTube, Spotify, or log
on to your Netflix or other account, etc.
Laundry
There is a front-loader washing machine in the apartment. The dryer
function does not work. The sunroom of the apartment has a clothes line.
You can also use the coin-operated washing machines and dryers in the
basement of the apartment block. Go to the basement and access the laundry
room with your key.
Special Instructions
Weekly Servicing is done on the anniversary of the day of your
arrival, the cleaners have their own access keys and will be there
after 10am. Beds are remade with freshly laundered/ironed linen,
towels etc are replenished. The bathroom is cleaned and the kitchen
is given a wipe down. The apartment is dusted and floors vacuumed
and/or washed. The balcony is swept/washed and windows where
accessible are cleaned. We do not wash your dishes as all
apartments have dishwashers for this purpose. Please remove your
rubbish daily to the dedicated areas within the complex. Should you
leave the apartment in an excessively dirty state you will be
charged a departure surcharge.
Please note that the housekeeping teams are not based on site and
should you turn them away when they arrive, a return surcharge of
$65 will then apply. However if you do wish to amend your
housekeeping day please send us an email the day before and we will
confirm the change.
Rubbish bins are in the courtyard.
No Smoking anywhere in the building or the apartment.
Please leave all keys and fobs in the apartment when you vacate and
ensure all dishes have been washed. Checkout time is 10am.
Electricity
Included within your tenancy are the following: Gas, water & Power:
Gas, where connected for cooking/heating, to the value of $50 per month.
Electricity, to the value of $120 per month. Water to the value of $100.00
per month. Any excess to the above amounts will be charged against your
credit card or invoiced to the tenant. Stays for less than a month will
have charges prorated to a daily amount and then shared over then
calculated/charge according to the length of stay.

Please ensure that you know where the exit stairs are in relation to your
