Located in the heart of Auckland's shopping and entertainment area of the CBD the Metropolis is one of the city's tallest buildings offering amazing views of the harbour, city and parks. It is built on the site of old Magistrate Court and still has the façade of the original building. There is a 22 metre indoor heated pool and spa pool on the 8th floor adjacent to a modern gym.
This light and airy one bedroom apartment has spectacular views north over Auckland City and harbour from the balcony. The super king bed in the bedroom can be split into singles if necessary. The bedroom is separated from the living room by a large cavity door and opens onto a full balcony. Apartment has central heating/air conditioning together with Hush Glass. Bathroom has both a bath and shower, fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Included in price is high speed wireless internet.
Apartment serviced weekly including full linen change. No smoking in apartment or on balcony please. All bookings restricted to three months prior to arrival.

Car park: No Car park (but can be arranged, with extra payment)
Public access to the building is via the main entry of the Metropolis
Residences / Hotel (old Magistrates Courthouse building) on Kitchener
Street. There is a Resident Only Lobby on Courthouse Lane by car park – you
will need to use your Swipe card to open the door.
Take lift and use swipe card in lift to access Level 25. Look for
the signs direction to 2507. You use your Key Swipe in the door of
the apartment to gain entry. Once the light turns green the door is
ready to be opened.
If you have a problem with the door swipe please ask Reception to
check the swipe and reprogrammed if necessary.
Special Instructions
Rubbish disposal is via bins/chute in the service lift lobby
Swimming pool and gym are located on Level 8 - access using the
swipe card.
Weekly Servicing is done on the anniversary of the day of your
arrival, the cleaners have their own access keys and will be there
after 10am. Beds are remade with freshly laundered/ironed linen,
towels etc are replenished. The bathroom is cleaned and the kitchen
is given a wipe down. The apartment is dusted and floors vacuumed
and/or washed. The balcony is swept/washed and windows where
accessible are cleaned. We do not wash your dishes as all
apartments have dishwashers for this purpose. Please remove your
rubbish daily to the dedicated areas within the complex. Should you
leave the apartment in an excessively dirty state you will be
charged a departure surcharge.
Please note that the housekeeping teams are not based on site and
should you turn them away when they arrive, a return surcharge of
$65 will then apply. However if you do wish to amend your
housekeeping day please send us an email the day before and we will
confirm the change.
CHECKOUT TIME IS 10 AM, please ensure all the dishes have been done
and put away in the cupboards, and take all your rubbish down to
the rubbish room in the service area of the hallway. You can access
the Hotel Lobby Level without using the card in the lift, but you
will not be able to access the Residences Lobby on Level 2.
Please turn the Air Conditioning OFF when you go out and upon
vacating.
It is recommended that dishwashing powder be used in the dish
drawer.
To access the mailbox room in the lobby to clear mail use the small
black key on your room key.
On checkout – you will need to use the swipe to leave the carpark
(if you have booked a carpark), once you have gone through the
second grill park in the loading zone on the left outside the
Metropolis Residences and return to the apartment and leave the
swipe/s on the table. The cleaners will return the swipe to our
office.
Please ensure all dishes have been washed.
On the day of departure, please vacate by 10am.
Please don’t hold swipe card near cell phone - this demagnetises
it.
NO SMOKING in the apartment or the building.
Electricity
Included within your tenancy are the following: Water & Power:
Electricity, to the value of $120 per month for a one bedroom & water
to the value of $100.00 per month.
Any excess to the above amounts will be charged against your credit card or
invoiced to the tenant. Stays for less than a month will have charges
prorated to a daily amount and then shared over then calculated/charge
according to the length of stay.
Fire Evacuation Plan
Please ensure that you know where the exit stairs are in relation to your
apartment. Ambulance/Fire/Police: DIAL 111
