Newmarket
: Welcome to Newmarket, premier fashion, shopping
and entertainment district, only minutes away from Auckland's CBD. With a reputation as the fashion
and shopping capital of New Zealand, Newmarket is a shopper’s paradise with
something to suit everyone, no matter your taste or budget. From high end,
high street fashion, focused on and around Nuffield Street and Teed Street,
with first class local and international brands, to smaller boutique
outlets, second hand designer gear, old school vintage wear and the
occasional pop-up shop for the best deals in or outside of the city.

Newmarket also boasts an excellent selection of first grade eateries, cafes
and bars. From high end restaurants to the freshest fast food, from a good
old fashioned working man’s pub to the trendiest of contemporary cocktail
bars and everything in between. A strong café culture is well represented,
with early to late eateries available in all locations at all times.

For full details, check out https://newmarket.co.nz/.

A select list of interesting activities:

*Stop off at a Little Nuffield (15a Nuffield Street) for your
morning fix. Allpress coffee and a small selection of treats (7 am – 4 pm).

*After taming your retail desires, grab a bite to eat at any of the
excellent cafes and eateries. Our favourites areL'Atelier Du Fromage (3-5 McColl Street) and Little and Friday (11 McColl Street)

*For a little afternoon respite, head to the Auckland Domain.

“Fly a kite, feed ducks, walk through native forest or follow a trail
of outdoor sculptures in this magnificent inner city park”.

*Take a stroll in the beautiful Wintergardens. Opened in 1913,
rare and spectacular plants can be seen in each of the two barrel-vaulted
Victorian style glass houses which face out on to an extensive court yard
and sunken pool. Charged with romance, the atmosphere often attracts
newlyweds for photos on their big day.

* At the top of the Domain hill stands the architecturally-impressive
Auckland Museum. Regarded as one of the finest museums in the
Southern Hemisphere, the Auckland Museum is “your first stop to gain an insight into New Zealand and our people”. Check out what's on at

www.aucklandmuseum.com/visit/whats-on

*For a relaxed evening, enjoy fine wine and tapas at Café Tasca (25 Nuffield Street). Inspired by the back
street tapas bars of Spain, Tasca is big on ambiance and tasty food – small
on formalities” (www.tasca.co.nz)
