Property FacilitiesWe have quiet, extensive grounds, a location close to the city but with a secluded feel and close to the riverside Kowhai Park, main roads and tourist attractions.Guests enjoy a laundry, unlimited fibre wifi, fully equipped communal kitchen and television in the common room. There is a large games room for all guests.All areas are accessible to wheelchairs
Room FacilitiesAll rooms except bunk rooms and shared facility rooms have wet area en-suite bathrooms. Rooms are modern and centrally heated and are on a single level. There is a "No Smoking" policy applying throughout the buildings.

Location / DistancesHikurangi StayPlace is only minutes from Wanganui's main street (Victoria Avenue), and less than ten minutes from beaches and the airport. The main road north and the riverside Kowhai Park are 150 meters away. It is just a few hundred meters walk to the iconic Red Lion Pub. The Durie Hill tunnel and Elevator up to the lookout tower are very close by.
Directions to PropertyFrom the information centre, cross the river and turn left. Follow the river for about 500m to Mt View Road. There is a sign on the corner. Hikurangi is the first property on the left in Mt View Rd. If driving on State Highway 4 from the north, continue along Anzac Parade which runs beside the river. Mt View Rd is opposite the city end of the riverside park. From State Highway 3, turn on to State Highway 4 at the roundabout by the city entrance. Soon after passing the first bridge, Mt View Rd is on the right and it is signposted.
